About Mobli

Your cause comes first.
Learning software shouldn’t.

You became a fundraiser to make something happen. To bring people together. To change lives. Becoming a software expert was never the point.

We believe your time belongs to that work. So we’re building Mobli: a welcoming fundraising buddy, backed by a connected suite of nonprofit tools.

Three friends. A shared conviction.

From the founders of GiveSmart.

A better starting point than “learn the system.”

A fundraiser’s day doesn’t arrive neatly sorted into software menus. There’s a donor to thank, an event to organize, a payment to check and a board meeting coming up.

We’ve seen how much work sits around the moment someone gives. Our answer is to bring the tools together and make asking for help a natural place to start. You bring the purpose. Mobli helps you work out what comes next.

Meet Mobli

A friendly face. A capable suite behind him.

Mobli is both the persona you can turn to and the software your team works with. He gives a human, approachable face to the experience. Behind him are tools for donor records, fundraising, events, communication and reporting.

  1. Ask for what you need.

Start with your goal: a report for the board, a volunteer reminder or a plan for your next fundraiser.

  2. Work through the details.

Mobli is being built to help organize the task, use relevant available records and prepare the work across connected tools.

  3. Keep the final say.

You review the details and approve important actions. Your relationships, your judgment and your cause stay at the center.

Mobli is in early access. This is the experience we’re building toward; available workflows and connected records depend on your organization’s setup.

Tom, Matt and Max

We’ve been in the fundraising room.

We’re Tom Bexx, Matt Ormrod and Max Romer, three friends who founded GiveSmart. Our story began at Addbox, our marketing agency in Newbury, when a charity asked for help with its gala auction. We built text-message bidding. That idea became BidSmart, then GiveSmart.

Working with fundraisers taught us to care about the whole job: the guest list, auction items, payments, last-minute questions and follow-up. Today, that experience shapes a new venture and a simpler ambition: help you get on with your cause.

Independence, without more homework.

By 2018, Tom was asking how fundraisers could do more for themselves without being handed more software to learn. That question is at the heart of Mobli.

Make the technology useful.

Matt’s experience with SMS and shortcodes helped turn a charity’s auction brief into text-message bidding. The starting point was a real job that needed doing.

Max’s character wearing a black hat and headset

Max Romer

Co-founder of GiveSmart and Mobli

Make the next step easier.

Max saw how a link in a text could open a mobile auction with photographs, descriptions and bidding. A simpler way in opened up a much richer experience.

One purpose. Connected tools.

The conversation is only useful if it helps with the work. That’s why we’re bringing Mobli together with the records and tools your team relies on, rather than leaving you with another answer to copy into another system.

  • Keep supporter relationships close to fundraising activity.
  • Prepare events, giving campaigns and follow-up in one suite.
  • Review the details before important actions go ahead.

Bring your cause. Tell us what gets in the way.

You don’t need a software brief. Start with the work you want to make easier. We’d love to hear about it—and help you explore where Mobli could fit.

Early access depends on availability. Applying does not start a paid subscription.
